About Us

Our Mission: To support and enable the Madigan Army Medical Center mission by providing command and control, administrative support, and training for assigned military personnel.

The Medical Readiness Battalion (formerly known as Troop Battalion) is one of two battalions under the Madigan Army Medical Center. The command component is comprised of the battalion commander, battalion command sergeant major, battalion executive officer and three company command teams who are responsible for approximately 1600 Soldiers (Staff and Students). The Medical Readiness Battalion is dedicated to mission accomplishment, warrior preparedness, development in the Army profession and the quality of life of our Soldiers and their Families.

The three company command teams comprise of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), Alpha Company and Bravo Company. HHC is comprised of the Madigan command group as well as the Military Human Resources Division, Operations, Resource Management, Information Management Division, Equal Opportunity, Protocol, Ministry, Judge Advocate Group and the Inspector General. The remainder of HHC is students for Phase II of their MOS and AOC training and the Graduate Medical Education Program.

Alpha Company is comprised of Department of Nursing, Department of Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Department of Anesthesia and Operative Services, Department of Family Medicine, and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Bravo Company is comprised of staff working in Pathology, Department of Medicine, Physical Medicine, Pharmacy, Armed Services Blood Bank Center, Logistics, Preventive Medicine, Department of Surgery, Radiology, Behavioral Health, Department of Clinical Investigations, Nutrition Care and Patient Administration.

Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Wolf

Commander, Medical Readiness Battalion

Lt. Col. Amanda Wolfe began her career in 2008 as a civilian Physical Therapist at the Institute for Surgical Research where she served as a burn/amputee therapist for Soldiers returning from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2010 she earned her commission as an Officer in the United States Army.
 
Lt. Col. Wolfe's previous assignments include Brigade Physical Therapist for 3rd Brigade, 1st Armor Division, Ft Bliss, TX; Chief of Physical Therapy for Tuttle Army Health Clinic, Hunter Army Airfield; Alpha Company Commander, Madigan Army Medical Center; Deputy Director Rehabilitation and Reintegration in the Office of the Surgeon General; Aide-de-Camp to the Director, Defense Health Agency; Chief of Physical Therapy, Madigan Army Medical Center, and most recently; Chief of Business Operations, Madigan Army Medical Center. LTC l Wolfe has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as service in various operational and strategic positions advocating for musculoskeletal care, injury prevention, women’s health issues, and medical care for all military beneficiaries.
 
Lt. Col. Wolfe’s awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (1st oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal (2nd oak leaf cluster) Army Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism, NATO Medal, Combat Medical Badge, and Parachutist Badge and other various unit and service awards. She holds has a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Creighton University, a Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration from Baylor University and a certificate in Global Health Studies from the Uniformed Services University.

 




Command Sergeant Major Maria A. Vonzaluskowski

Command Sergeant Major, Medical Readiness Battalion

Command Sgt. Maj. Maria A. Vonzaluskowski is a native of The Great State of Texas who enlisted into the Unites States Army Reserves in 1998 as a 77F, Petroleum Specialist. She attended Basic Combat Training, at Fort Jackson, SC and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, VA. After a break in service, CSM Vonzaluskowski entered into the Active Army as a 15P, Flight Operations Specialist and attended the Warrior Transition Course in Fort Knox, KY and 15P Advanced Individual Training at Fort Rucker, AL. In 2005, CSM Vonzaluskowski reclassed into the Medical Corps as a 68G, Patient Administration Specialist.

Her assignments include the 1-25th Infantry Division, Brigade Support Battalion, Charlie Medic Company, Fort Lewis, WA (NCOIC, Patient Administration); 2nd Stryker Calvary Regiment (2SCR), Regimental Support Squadron (RSS), Stryker Medic Company, Vilseck, GE (NCOIC, Patient Administration); 2-13th Infantry Battalion, Fort Jackson, SC (Drill Sergeant); Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM, WA (NCOIC, Command Group Operations); The United States Army Recruiting Command Headquarters, Fort Knox, KY (NCOIC, SFAB-MPD); Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI (DCA, Deputy NCOIC); Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI (First Sergeant, Charlie Med Co); The NCO Leadership Center of Excellence & Sergeant Major Academy, Fort Bliss, TX (Chief of Strategic Initiatives & Protocol); Martin Army Medical Center, Medical Readiness Battalion, Fort Moore, GA (Battalion Sergeant Major). She was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 2SCR Stryker Medics to both FOB Warhorse and FOB Striker.

She holds a myriad of technical certifications and skill identifiers some of which include all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System and The Sergeant’s Major Academy, Class 71; BN Pre-Command Course, CSM Development Course, First Sergeant Course, Battle Staff Course, Fiscal Law Course, Contracting Officer Course, Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt Course, Healthcare Administrator Course, 70H Course, Executive Leadership Course, Total Army Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor Course, The United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy, Master Fitness Trainer, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, Modern Army Basic and Tactical Combatives Courses, Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, Common Faculty Instructor & Developer Course, Project Athena Army Leadership Coaching Course. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a Masters Degree in Leadership Studies from The University of Texas in El Paso, TX.

Command Sgt. Maj Vonzaluskowski has been awarded numerous awards and decorations commensurate with her assignments and achievements and is a recipient of The Order of Military Medical Merit Award and a member of The Unites States Army Drill Sergeant Association.
She is dual military, married to Command Sgt. Maj Demian Vonzaluskowski with two children, Diego (23) and Jadha (21) and their bonus children, 3 dogs named Tyson, Sofia, and Lola

 

Directions

From the JBLM Madigan gate (exit 122), stay on Jackson Avenue until the third light. Turn left at the light onto Madigan Avenue. Continue on Madigan Avenue as it turns into Wilson Avenue. After approximately 500 yards, turn left onto Lincoln Street. The Medical Readiness Battalion will be half way down the street on your left, Building 9900.
