About Us
The Orthopedic Surgery Department includes the General Orthopedic Surgery, Podiatry, Hand, Microvascular, Spine, Sports, Total Joints, Foot and Ankle, Shoulder and Elbow, Orthotics Lab, and Cast Room. The Madigan Orthopedic Surgery Department provides expert consultative inpatient and outpatient health care services for patients with a broad range of musculoskeletal illness and injury. Procedures cover the entire spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including trauma and fracture care to complex adult reconstructions. We aim to provide high quality, safe care for our patients through our state-of-the-art health care facilities, first-rate education, and research and process improvement programs. Our surgeons were trained at the leading academic programs in the country and have advanced training in:
- Adult joint reconstruction
- Spine surgery
- Hand and microvascular surgery
- Sports medicine
- Foot and ankle reconstruction
- Shoulder and elbow repair and reconstruction
- Orthopedic oncology
The Orthopedic Department at Madigan serves as a training vehicle for Madigan orthopedic residents and interns as well as Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Health Professions Scholarship Program medical students.

Who can be seen here?
The Orthopedic services are specialty services, and available to enrolled patients of any age. Patients must be referred by their primary care provider.
Directions
The Madigan Orthopedic Department is located at Madigan Army Medical Center in the Medical Mall and can be reached by taking I-5 Exit 122 and turning onto Beaumont Avenue into the Medical Mall Purple Parking Lot. The Orthopedics Department is located on the first floor next to the Pharmacy.
