About
The Madigan Ophthalmology Service consists of the second floor Ophthalmology Clinic, and the Refractive Surgery Center located on the seventh floor of the hospital tower. Our goal is to offer our patients the highest quality, state-of-the-art surgical and medical care. The Ophthalmology Clinic provides consultative outpatient and surgical ophthalmic specialty care in a wide range of subspecialties including Cataract, Cornea, Retina, Glaucoma, Neuro-ophthalmic, Uveitis, Pathology, Pediatric and Strabismus, and Oculoplastics. Procedures offered include cataract surgery, cosmetic eyelid procedures, strabismus surgery, and glaucoma filtering procedures. Our surgeons were trained at the leading academic programs throughout the country and have advanced training in all aspects of ophthalmic surgery. Patients seen in the Ophthalmology Clinic are those referred from their primary care provider. The Refractive Surgery Center provides surgical refractive care (PRK, LASIK) to active duty service members on a self-referred basis.
The Madigan Ophthalmology Service also trains the Army’s future ophthalmologists through its 3 year residency training program. Our surgeons also serve the Nation’s interest by deploying when called and performing humanitarian surgical missions throughout the world.
