Madigan Orthopedics team consists of a wide range of specialty doctors ready to assist in providing you care. Specialty doctors include podiatry, hand, ankle, shoulder, hip, knee, and oncology. Orthopedics teams are available to treat a wide variety of diagnoses including arthritis, joint pain, sprains/strains, or other impairments which may diminish your quality of life.

Foot and Ankle Team:

The foot and ankle service in the department of orthopedics provides our patients comprehensive care for traumatic, athletic, and degenerative conditions of the lower extremity.  Our team of professionals will help you navigate the care of surgical and non-surgical conditions of the ankle and foot.  We consist of one orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle reconstruction, three podiatrists, a team nurse, and support staff who are dedicated to helping our patients.  Common things we treat are fractures, tendon injuries, bone and cartilage problems, sprains, heel pain, bunions, and toe/toenail problems.
 
We have an in-house orthotic and brace shop that can also assist our patients. Check your TRICARE plan to see if you are eligible for their services.
 

Podiatry

Podiatry is the treatment of feet and associated ailments. A podiatrist is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), who specializes in the treatment of foot, ankle, and related structures to the leg. Podiatrists have completed rigorous work with foot and ankle training as well as hospital-based training, making them highly qualified for this part of the body. The Madigan Podiatry team are highly qualified team that are looking to assist in providing quality care and taking time to answer questions.
 
Staff Bios:
Dr. Huang:
Dr. Dennis Huang is a graduate of the University of Illinois. He obtained his podiatric degree at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. His podiatric residency was at Salt Lake City.
Dr. Huang has more than 20 years of experience in treating foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Huang is a Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Foot Surgery.
 
Dr. Jerome Benavides:
LTC Jerome Benavides earned his Doctor of Medicine and then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.  He then completed his orthopedic foot and ankle reconstruction fellowship in Houston, Texas in 2009.  He specializes in traumatic and athletic injuries to the foot and ankle.  He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.
