School Mental Health Program
CAFMHS’ School Mental Health program provides mental health services for military children in local schools. SMH staff are currently in the following elementary schools: Evergreen, Rainier, Hillside, Beachwood, Meriwether, and Carter Lake Elementary. To engage with SMH, please see your child’s PCM, pediatrician, or respective school staff.
How to Receive Services
Your primary care provider will conduct an initial evaluation, at which time they may place a referral to CAFBHS through your electronic medical record. Once the referral from your primary care provider is received, CAFMHS staff will contact you to discuss your treatment options. It is important that you have updated contact information in your medical record.
Please note: CAFMHS does not see walk-ins. If you require a same-day appointment you may be seen at your patient centered medical home or you may seek emergency care at your nearest emergency room.
