Walk-in Contraceptive Services

Walk-in Contraceptive Services are now available at Okubo Soldier-Centered Medical Home and Madigan Army Medical Center's Main OB/GYN Clinic.

Walk-In Contraceptive Service Clinic Hours

Services are available to active duty service members at the Okubo SCMH on the first, third, and fifth Wednesday of each month, 8 - 11:30 a.m. All other TRICARE beneficiaries have access to Madigan's main OB/GYN Walk-in Contraceptive Care Services on a space-available basis on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, noon - 3:30 p.m.

Services Offered

  • Group contraceptive counseling
  • Individual appointment for contraceptive insertion/removal
  • Prescription service
  • Prophylactics
  • Space-available access for all TRICARE beneficiaries at the Madigan OB/GYN Main Clinic

How it Works

Interested service members/eligible beneficiaries must check in at the start of clinic hours (8 a.m. for Okubo SCMH, noon for OB/GYN Main Clinic). Once checked in, a pregnancy test will be done. The clinic visit will consist of group education and counseling, then individual appointment for contraceptive insertion or prescription. Service members/beneficiaries should plan on being at the clinic for a minimum of two hours.
