Gynecologic Oncology Service

Our subspecialty-trained gynecologic oncologists and highly trained ancillary staff provide tailored care for our patients at Madigan Army Medical Center. We employ state of the art minimally invasive surgical techniques when indicated. Innovations in other surgical techniques make fertility preservation an option for some patients with a cancer diagnosis. In addition to surgery, we ensure our patients are offered the most up to date and evidence-based cancer treatments in consultation with other services as needed.
Services include:

• Evaluation and treatment of abnormal pap smears
• Treatment of pelvic masses
• Treatment of all gynecologic cancers including gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN), ovarian, fallopian tube, endometrial, primary peritoneal, cervical, vulvar and vaginal
• Genetic counseling and prophylactic surgery
• Advanced Laparoscopic and DaVinci (robot-assisted) surgery
• Second opinions
• Chemotherapy and referral if protocol chemotherapy is indicated

Madigan Army Medical Center offers a full spectrum of services for cancer patients that includes Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Positron Emission Tomography/CT, Interventional Radiology, pathology, surgical oncology, medical and radiation oncology, inpatient and outpatient nursing services.

The Gynecologic Oncology service is able to see patients within 24-hours of a referral, and is readily accessible for emergency cases.

Madigan Army Medical Center also supports Naval Hospitals Bremerton and Oak Harbor. In addition, a quarterly outreach clinic is staffed at Bremerton for patient convenience. Our facility is also able to coordinate care for air evacuation patients from overseas and Alaska quickly.

The Gynecologic Oncology Service is located in Madigan Army Medical Center and can be reached by taking I-5 Exit 122 and turning onto Beaumont Avenue into the Medical Mall Purple Parking Lot. Our office is in the OB/GYN Clinic on the ground floor of the Medical Mall.
