On 5 July Col. Hope M. Williamson-Younce honored and recognized 3 Soldiers in Madigan Army Medical Center Soldier Recovery Unit. SGT Christian Blackburn, SGT Hwan Lee and SPC Iris Chavez received the Army Achievement Medal for exemplary service. SGT Bianca Hayden competed in the 2024 Department of Defense Warrior Games against more than 200 athletes and earned an astounding 7 medals: five medals in swimming (3 x gold, 1 x silver, and 1 x bronze), one silver medal in discus, and one silver medal in shot put.
