Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Service (BBS)

About
The mission of the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Service (BBS) is to educate and train our staff and learners by providing services and expertise in areas of biostatistics, including experimental study design, and research informatics.
Facilities
Offices are located within the administrative area of the Department of Clinical Investigation.
Personnel
BBS is staffed with a senior biostatistician and a research informatician.
Capabilities
BBS provides statistical and research informatics consultation in one-on-one sessions. Statistical consultation services include study design, sample size estimation, statistical methodology, reporting, interpretation of research results, and evaluation of translational/clinical research for presentation and publication.
Research informatics services include research data collection automation and design of information and data base management systems, survey deployment, data management instruction, data integration, and data extraction instruction (data extraction is provided by Clinical Informatics department).
Group training is available upon request.
