JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. –
Day 1 refill service to 140 patients with an impressive average wait time of five minutes from door to prescription.
On 16 April 2024, Madigan Army Medical Center and the JBLM Community championed the Grand Re-opening of the Lewis Main Exchange Refill-Pharmacy with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This refill-only dispensing center at the PX will increase access to care and serve as the primary method of obtaining refill prescriptions for the JBLM Community. The PX site will decrease the current refill turn-around time by 50%, while allowing the Main Hospital Pharmacy to increase its capacity to serve outpatients.
Madigan’s Commander, Col. Hope M. Williamson-Younce, delivered a keynote speech praising the Department of Pharmacy’s vision, innovation, courage, and transformation efforts to keep our sacred responsibility of care to our Service Members, Veterans, and their Families.
